Mae gwifren annealed du yn cael ei phrosesu'n bennaf i wifren coil du, gwifren sbwlio du, gwifren pecyn mawr neu ei sythu ymhellach a'i thorri'n wifren a gwifren math U.
Mae gwifren annealed ddu yn cael ei defnyddio mewn adeiladu sifil ac mewn amaethyddiaeth. Felly, mewn adeiladwaith sifil, defnyddir gwifren annealed, a elwir hefyd yn “wifren losg” ar gyfer gosod haearn. Mewn amaethyddiaeth defnyddir gwifren haearn annealed ar gyfer mechnïo gwair. Amser gwifren haearn du yw a ddefnyddir yn helaeth fel gwifren glymu, gwifren rwymol neu wifren fechnïaeth mewn adeilad, parciau a rhwymo dyddiol. Fe'i defnyddir yn aml i'w ddefnyddio bob dydd, rhwyll wifrog wedi'i wehyddu, adeiladu, crefftau llaw, celfyddydau diwydiannol, prosesu ffatri ac ati.
